Ok, so another 3 weeks in Lockdown. I get it Boris, I really do, but when you said there would be a gradual relaxation of the restrictions I was hoping that opening my local boozer would be one of the restrictions lifted. No other pubs, just my pub, and maybe limit it’s use to people living in the village with a surname beginning A-D just to begin with. The roll out could then be gradually pushed out countrywide over the next 6 months although this would be less of a concern to me to be perfectly honest.
Sir Keith Starmer made me laugh, a week ago he was complaining the country needs a plan, now the country has a plan, he says the plan is not a good enough plan. How easy must it be being the leader of the opposition just opposing everything? If he led the opposition party in 1945 he would have said;
“The Prime Minister has just been forced to evacuate defeated troops from Dunkirk and due to the disgraceful lack of naval ships, civilians have been forced to ferry troops back to the UK. Also, the Blitz continues to kill more people in the UK than any other country in Europe. The Prime Minister should reconsider surrender to Hitler or resign immediately”
Oh and Nicola Sturgeon claims not to know what alert means and yet she spent 20 years working around Alex Sammond. Haha yeah righto Nicola love!
Stay Alert folks, Stay Safe, Boris knows best.

It’s all very confusing and it’s as though Boris is saying to us : “Look, just use your own common sense.”
Trouble is, most people are employed and as such they rely on orders from above to filter down to them and act accordingly, or unaccordingly, as the case may be.
Just a thought: me and my wife have each been self-employed for nigh on the better part of the past quarter of a century. That said, the self-employed ‘self-manage’ to a far larger degree than those who are employed, simply because we have to. Therefore we will continue to wash our hands with soap and hot water for a minimum 20 seconds at a time. We will continue to disinfect our home and ‘antibac’ against parcels, shopping and even clothing coming into it. And when we visit places where social interaction is absolutely necessary, we will do our utmost to observe the 2m ruling wherever permissible.
Are the vast majority of others doing the same?
From the evidence of what we are seeing in supermarkets and their car-parks (your car is a ‘mobile home’ and needs to be treated accordingly), no, we don’t think that they are.
Will you still be 2 metres from your wallet when the pubs reopen 🙂
That is exactly what he is saying Edge Ed. Use your common sense. We all know what we should do and what we shouldn’t do. Just do it!
When I leave the 20th floor of a building I use the lift, I do not jump out the window. I do not need anyone to tell me to do that or a 250 page guidance note, I just use my common sense!
You are completely missing the point I thought I had oh so clearly made, Deaks.
For crystal clear clarification: THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE ‘NEED TO BE TOLD’ EXACTLY WHAT THEY CAN & CANNOT DO.
I understand the point you are making mate I just don’t agree with it!
