Lauren, who is a colleague that I work with, has been keeping herself busy during the lockdown by helping her boyfriend set up a pasty delivery business.
Never one to shy away from a hearty snack I ordered myself a box of 10 and was absolutely delighted with my order. Opening up that little box of deliciousness was like the excitement a 10 year old me used to get on Christmas Day.
Lauren’s boyfriend, Nick Mason, along with his good friend Stu Heal (aka The Pasty Boys) deliver handmade Cornish pasties straight to your door. Arriving frozen, all you have to do is store them in your freezer until you’re ready to cook them up in the oven!
Not only are The Pasty Boys selling the popular traditional and cheese and onion Cornish pasties but they are excited to offer vegan pasties and vegan rolls too!
The pasties are handmade in the heart of Cornwall by the award winning Proper Cornish company and you can tell that they use real quality ingredients – it’s nice to have a pasty that is full all the way to the edge and not simply a little pastry air pocket.
They sell for around £30 for a box of 10 and, given that works out at £3 a pasty, I’d say they are excellent value for money.
You can order from The Pasty Boys online at www.thepastyboys.co.uk and as soon as the physical copy of the edge is back in circulation I will provide details of a special discount code for our readers.

Billy-Boy, I want to COLLECT a single one of these Cornish Pasties from you F.O.C. lad (you know I’m a tight-arse and you can surely spare one for a poor, humble shelf-stacker, can’t you?) and try it, as ‘the proof is undoubtedly in the tasting’ (or whatever).
Reason being, the ONLY Cornish Pasty I will ever consume is one from The Cornish Bakery (formerly called Pesto Pasties, I think). They are delicious, with no gristly bits, but our nearest branch is in bloody Southwold, which is the best part of an hour-and-a-half’s drive away.
Absolutely – I am happy to share one with you. I might be busy on the tennis court so I’ll leave one with the concierge.. He is doing part-time shifts at M&S in the evening..
Wow, they do look good Billy…..
Bloody concierge???
I don’t even know how to get to your gaff, Billy-Boy.
Best not put directions on ‘ere, but if you can text me them (+ postcode) I will happily collect.
Tennis court?

It’s now 10th June, William, and I’ms still waiting….???
