So, I said to my boys, I’m not interested in the box sets on the tele, I don’t have time to sit in front of the tele all day long, I said, I’ve got better things to do, I said. Dad you need to watch these programmes, they said, they’re awesome, they said, watch them, they said, and let us know, they said and then the very next day they said, have you watched them programmes, jeez, give me a break I said.
4 weeks into lockdown and I am now able to give you my top 10 must watch series on the tele;
Afterlife – I bloody love this, hilarious one moment, heart wrenching sad the next. Ricky Gervais is a genius.
Killing Eve – Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh are unbelievably good in this, I can not believe Jodie Comer is a scouser!
Chernobyl – if Corvid-19 doesn’t scare you then watch this. I tell ya we will destroy this planet one day.
Breaking bad – I really enjoyed this, it has such strong characters, my favourite being Saul Goodman, and of course they are now showing a prequel starring him.
Line of Duty – now in its 5th series this beats all the American cop series. I first caught this in the 4th series but I have now gone back to series one and watched it all the way through.
Tiger King – absolutely bonkers. Only in America!! I mean seriously, one bloke in Miami has 243 tigers for his own enjoyment, as you do!
You – this is relativity new I think and was the most recent son recommendation. I’ve sat through the first 9 episodes and will conclude with the final episode tomorrow. Stalking on steroids!
Game of Thrones – yeah, I did, all the way through, it’s pretty magnificent to be fair but boy is it long and as my boys told me at outset, don’t like any character too much because they will die!
Walking Dead – I love zombie stuff, always have, I’d want to be one myself if it weren’t for all the walking! There is 10 series of Walking Dead and I’m on Series 3 and I love it.
Gangs of London – I’ve only just started this but 2 episodes in and already I know it’s going to be a winner! Not for the faint hearted.
And there go, start watching these programmes, I said….

The one I’ll throw in is Detectorists. Mackenzie Crook’s subtle exploration of anorak(dom) is a must.
